What is a PAT test?
Initially a visual inspection is carried out. A visual inspection will highlight:
- Damaged plugs and related equipment, such as overheating, burn marks or discolouration.
- Damaged wires/flexes
- That the plug is correctly wired.
- That the fuse is correctly rated.
Depending on the class of the equipment, further tests may be carried out.
